New Beginnings | Intuition | Inner Peace
The stone of new beginnings. If a piece labeled orange moonstone sparkles like glitter rather than glows, you may have been sold sunstone — see our identification guide for the single-light tilt test.
Moonstone is a feldspar mineral prized for its inner glow — adularescence, a luminous sheen that drifts across the stone like moonlight on water. Revered across cultures for emotional rebalancing, intuitive receptivity, and cyclical renewal. Our collection highlights the warm glow of Peach Moonstone alongside the mystical flash of traditional Moonstone and the rainbow shimmer of high-grade Rainbow variants.
Choose by the flash you are drawn to.
Classical silver-blue sheen. Pure crown chakra work and intuition.
Warm apricot tones. Bridges crown and heart — self-love, gentle joy.
Gentle intuition + gentle throat. The softest upper-chakra pair.
Intuition + articulation. Receive the download, then speak it.
The phenomenon is called adularescence — named after the Adular Mountains in Switzerland. Microscopic alternating layers of two feldspars (orthoclase and albite) reflect and scatter light internally, producing the billowy inner glow. The effect moves as you rotate the stone, which is how you distinguish authentic Moonstone from opal glass or dyed feldspar.
Technically, Rainbow Moonstone is a marketing name for white labradorite with similar blue-white flash. True Moonstone is orthoclase feldspar. Both show adularescence, both work similarly in practice, but mineralogically they are different species. Our pieces are labeled by actual stone type, not marketing term. If a listing says Moonstone, it is Moonstone.
Yes — this is the traditional cleansing method and energetically fitting. Place the piece on a windowsill or outside (protected from dew) under the full moon. Twelve hours is enough. Avoid direct sunlight, which can fade some Moonstones over time. The moon is the stone's native element.
No — this is a cultural overlay. Moonstone's traditional association with feminine cycles does not make it a woman-only stone. It represents yin energy (receptivity, intuition, cyclicity) which is available to all humans regardless of gender. Many male practitioners wear Moonstone specifically to rebalance a life that has become too active or output-focused.
