Color that depends on angle
Labradorite flash is an optical effect, not a fixed surface color.
Labradorite is a feldspar known for labradorescence: blue, green, gold, or multicolor light produced by internal structure. The flash changes with viewing angle, so useful product photography shows both illuminated and ordinary positions.
A dramatic single photograph does not show how the stone looks all day. Compare face-up color, off-angle body color, surface, cut, and exact dimensions.

Why does labradorite change color?
Its internal feldspar structure interacts with light to produce labradorescence. The visible color changes as the stone, viewer, or light source moves.
Is stronger flash always better quality?
Not automatically. Coverage, color, orientation, cut, surface condition, body color, and the intended design all matter. Preference is not a universal grading rule.
Why can labradorite look gray in person?
The optical flash appears only at particular angles. Away from that angle, the body color may look gray, greenish, brownish, or dark.
How should I care for labradorite jewelry?
Avoid hard impact, chemicals, steam, and ultrasonic cleaning. Wipe gently with a soft cloth and store it away from harder stones.
