5. California Proposition 65 Warning
Some materials in our handcrafted jewelry contain natural trace elements flagged under California Proposition 65 – most commonly lead, which occurs in microgram quantities within the crystalline structure of certain stones or traditional metal alloys.
Specifically, these pieces contain flagged materials:
- Contains green turquoise (trace lead bound in phosphate lattice): The Conduit #22, The Cultivator #18, The Devotion #07, The Seer #16, The Sovereign #12.
- Contains oxidized brass or traditional metal alloys (may contain trace lead pending supplier disclosure): The Gaia #14, The Oracle #06, The Seer #19, The Shield #03.
What this means: Trace lead in natural turquoise is bound within the mineral’s phosphate crystalline structure and is not surface-bioavailable under normal wear. The Prop 65 threshold is set below what most medical literature considers a health-relevant dose for adult skin contact.
