Share Your Story

An invitation, not a request

If you wear an à la luck talisman, we would love to hear how it lives with you. Not as a review. As a story — the kind only you can tell.

Every à la luck talisman is made once. The piece you wear has never existed before and will never exist again. That makes the story of how it travels with you part of the piece itself — and we would like to read it.

This page is a quiet invitation, not a request. There is no form, no rating, no five-star prompt. Just an email address, and a few questions to help you get started.

What to share

A short story — 150 to 500 words is the right length. You can write it as a letter, a journal entry, or just plain notes. Whatever feels most natural for you.

If you are not sure what to write about, here are some questions other readers have answered:

  • Which piece do you wear, and how did you choose it?
  • When do you wear it — daily, or only for specific moments?
  • Is there a moment when you noticed it — a meeting, a decision, a goodbye?
  • What is your relationship with it — a piece of jewelry, a working tool, something else?
  • If it broke or got lost tomorrow, how would you feel?

You do not need to answer all of them. Pick the one that has a real answer for you, and tell that.

One photo, taken the way you take photos

Please include one photograph with your story. It can be the piece on your wrist, on your desk, on your altar, in a coat pocket — wherever it lives. Your phone camera is exactly right. We are not looking for product photography.

How to send

Email your story to hello@alaluck.com

Include your name as you would like it credited (first name, full name, or anonymous), and attach your photo. That is it.

What happens next

Yifeng — the founder, the only person who has ever knotted an à la luck talisman — reads every email personally. You will hear back from her within two weeks.

If your story is one we would like to feature in our journal's Reader Stories series, she will write back to ask. If not, you will still receive a personal note. We curate carefully; not every submission becomes a feature, but every one is read.

Featured stories receive a small digital "Featured at à la luck" card you can share or keep. There is no monetary reward, no free product, no discount.

Rare from nature, just one, like you — and the stories you carry it through are part of why.
