Himalayan Relics & Quartz: High Vibration & Ancient Wisdom

Sourced from the Roof of the World.

High in the Himalayas, quartz crystallizes under extreme pressure for millions of years. The result is a family of stones with a distinctive high-frequency clarity — clearer, denser, and more energetically alive than quartz from any other region. This collection gathers our Himalayan pieces alongside antique weathered trade beads that traveled the Silk Road centuries ago.

The Himalayan Material Families

Four distinct material lineages in this collection.

Himalayan Materials — Questions

How is Himalayan Quartz different from other quartz?

Himalayan Quartz crystallized at high altitude under intense pressure, which yields exceptional clarity and a strong piezoelectric response. Many specimens carry rare water inclusions — tiny pockets of water sealed inside millions of years ago. Energetically, practitioners often report a higher, cleaner vibration than quartz from Brazil or Arkansas.

Are the trade beads really antique?

Yes. Our Dragonfly Eye and Chevron trade beads come from estate collections and bead dealers specializing in Silk Road glass — typically 100 to 300 years old, some older. Authentic trade beads show signature weathering (surface pitting, interior bubbles, uneven wear). Each piece is sourced individually; we do not buy reproduction beads.

Is sourcing ethical?

We buy from small-scale Nepali and Tibetan stone dealers who support artisan communities, and from vetted antique bead specialists. We do not buy from large mining operations or from sellers who cannot trace stone origin. When a piece arrives without clean provenance, we don't use it.

How do I care for antique beads?

Antique glass is more fragile than modern stone. Keep dry, avoid knocks, store flat. A monthly moon-cleanse (moonlight on a windowsill, no water) is enough. Full details in our care guide.
