The garnet centre reads almost black until the light catches its deep red facets. The smoky quartz is a longer, translucent brown bead. Choose the colour you want at your wrist, wear the two as a stack, or connect both bracelets for the necklace shown in the photographs. Garnet and smoky quartz are sold individually. Combo includes both, for stacking or connecting into a necklace, and saves US$25.

Cotton, cord and two distinct centres. Wrapped cotton and inlaid ebony.

Waxed cord carries the stones and heishi-cut pearl spacers. Plant-dyed cotton wraps the transitions in small bands of colour. Each bracelet ends with an ebony bead with silver inlay and Nepali glass details. The two pieces can be separated for bracelet wear or connected into one necklace. Fit the ebony bead into the loop at the other end to fasten each bracelet. To make the necklace, connect the two bracelets using the same bead-and-loop closures. Release the beads from the loops to separate the pieces.
