Oxidation is part of the surface, not a defect to polish away.
Oxidized silver, darkened brass, patinated copper, and related finishes use controlled surface change to create depth and contrast. Wear, skin chemistry, moisture, and friction can continue to alter that finish over time.

What is oxidized metal jewelry?

Will the dark finish wear off?
